QUALITY OF PRAGNANCY (ANTENATAL) SERVICES BY VILLAGE MIDWIVES IN SOUTH PARINGIN DISTRICT BALANGAN REGENCY (Case Study Of Baruh Bahinu Dalam and Binjai Villages)

Abstract

The development of health service delivery in Indonesia has not yet grown optimally and evenly. In South Paringin Subdistrict, Balangan Regency, in Baruh Bahinu Dalam and Binjai villages, the provision of pregnancy health services has not been fully maximized. The lack of completeness of supporting facilities has an impact on the quality of maternity service provided by village midwives. This study aims to determine the quality of pregnancy services by village midwives, as well as the factors that influence it in the villages of Baruh Bahinu Dalam and Binjai in South Paringin District, Balangan Regency.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive type. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Sources of data were taken through purposive sampling with a total of 11 people. After the data is collected, it is analyzed using techniques including data collection, data condentation, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
The results of the study indicate that the Quality of Antenatal Pregnancy Services by Village Midwives in Paringin Selatan District, Balangan Regency (Case Study of Baruh Bahinu Dalam and Binjai Villages) is still not good, even though there are health workers who have sources of funds and guidelines in providing pragnancy health services. However it is still not able to provide service that are in accordance with the standards contained in the guidlines and the completeness of the service support facilities is still incomplete. To the Village Midwive should cooperate with local agwncies to further improve the quality of pregnancy health services, both in terms of seeking to provide adequate facilities according to standards, as well as conducting socialization to the community on the importance of pragnancy check-ups. In addition, the public also needs to provide suggestions and criticism for the creation of good and maximum service.
