The International Journal of Administrative Innovation (IJAI) is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and credibility of the scholarly record. The journal recognizes that, in certain circumstances, published or submitted articles may need to be withdrawn, corrected, or retracted in order to uphold ethical standards in academic publishing.

Article withdrawal and article retraction are handled carefully by the editorial team based on the nature and seriousness of the issue. The journal will investigate all cases fairly, objectively, and in accordance with publication ethics principles before making any editorial decision.

Article Withdrawal

Article withdrawal applies to manuscripts that have been submitted to the journal but have not yet been formally published. Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript by submitting a written request to the editorial office, including clear reasons for the withdrawal.

Withdrawal requests may be considered if the manuscript has not yet entered the final publication stage. However, authors are strongly discouraged from withdrawing a manuscript after it has entered the review, copyediting, layout, or publication process without valid reasons.

Manuscripts may also be withdrawn by the editorial team if serious ethical concerns are identified before publication, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, authorship disputes, copyright infringement, or violations of the journal’s publication ethics policy.

Article Retraction

Article retraction applies to articles that have already been published. Retraction is issued when there is clear evidence that the published article contains serious errors, unreliable findings, unethical research practices, plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, copyright violations, or other forms of academic misconduct.

A retraction may be initiated by the authors, editors, publisher, or other parties who provide credible evidence of serious problems in the published article. The editorial team will review the evidence and may consult reviewers, editorial board members, authors, or relevant institutions before making a final decision.

If an article is retracted, the original article will remain available on the journal website to preserve the scholarly record, but it will be clearly marked as “Retracted.” A retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article, explaining the reason for the retraction in a transparent manner.

Corrections and Errata

If an error is identified in a published article but does not invalidate the findings, conclusions, or overall integrity of the work, the journal may issue a correction, corrigendum, or erratum. Corrections are intended to ensure the accuracy of the published record without removing the article from the journal.

Authors are responsible for promptly notifying the editorial team if they discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work. The editorial team will evaluate the issue and determine whether a correction, retraction, or other editorial action is required.

Editorial Decision

The final decision regarding article withdrawal, correction, or retraction rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board. All decisions will be made based on the journal’s publication ethics policy, the available evidence, and the need to protect the integrity of scholarly communication.
